Two simplified blackletters by Joachim Müller-Lancé, after the shop signs, picture books and cigar labels of his Freiburg childhood.
About
Fleisch Wurst is the square, earthy one and Fleisch Wolf the slanted, pointed one, sharing weight and proportions so they can be swapped freely. Müller-Lancé treats the spaces inside and between letters as the real subject, and simplifies the capitals so whole words can be set in caps. Each style also carries its own decorative capitals, figures and a few regalia symbols for initials and headlines.
Classification
A pair of simplified blackletters of the same weight: Wurst is squarer and chunkier, Wolf pointier and more traditional. Capitals are romanised for legibility in all-caps setting, with native blackletter alternates for a, k, x, z and Z.
