A monospaced revival of the IBM 1403 line printer's type by Jeff Kellem, with small capitals where the lowercase would be.
About
Kellem rebuilt the 48 characters of the 1403's 'A' print chain from scant printed samples, then added the extra symbols found on the 'H' chain and on chains modified for Icelandic. The Limited version keeps to the printer's own 52 characters plus a basic Latin set; the Pro version runs to Cyrillic, Greek and Hebrew as well. It works big on covers and film titles, and small in tables, labels and indices where its fixed width keeps columns straight.
Classification
A monospaced face modelled on the print chains of the IBM 1403 mainframe line printer of the 1960s. Small capitals stand in for the lowercase, as on the original chains, so it reads as an all-caps mono with two cap heights.
