A warm humanist sans drawn by Paul Barnes and Dan Milne for the Daily Telegraph's 2015 redesign, with three optical sizes optimised for the punishing small-size typography of newspaper listings and tabular data.
About
Originally a custom commission for the Daily Telegraph, Telesans was built to perform across the full range of newspaper typography: headlines, body text and the tightly set agate columns used for weather, financial listings, sports scores and television schedules. The family is organised into three subfamilies – Head, Text and Agate – each tuned to its intended size range. Its open, warm character distinguishes it from the cooler grotesques that dominate newspaper typography.
Classification
An open, warm humanist sans designed for small-size newspaper typography, with proportions and spacing optimised for demanding editorial conditions such as agate and tabular listings.
