About
Dopple explores duality through weight: rounded corners and asymmetric shapes in the Regular become bulging, calligraphically inflected curves by the time the design reaches Bold and Black. Both Proportional and Condensed widths are included, each with corresponding italics that treat exit strokes as an abstract nod to calligraphic tradition. Three variable axes – weight, width and slant – allow access to the full spectrum of expression between these extremes.
Classification
Monolinear sans-serif with progressive flaring from Regular to Black weights; idiosyncratic rounded corners and asymmetric shapes place it closer to geometric sans than grotesque, with expressive display qualities emerging at heavier weights.
