MegaMegaTypeType
A single-weight display slab drawn from an East German watercolour manufacturer's logotype, combining hard ink-trap cuts with square curves in an ultra-heavy, narrow form.
About
Sektor exists as one style only: an ultra-heavy slab with tight counters, narrow proportions and high-contrast punctuation. The letterforms mix precise angular cuts with rounded square curves, lending the face a technical, industrial edge suited to headline use. A large x-height reinforces its presence at display sizes, while OpenType features include tabular figures, fractions, contextual alternates and a slashed zero.
Classification
A single-weight display slab serif with high contrast punctuation, tight counters and a narrow width. Its mix of hard cuts and square curves places it firmly in the display slab category, with strong geometric-industrial character rather than a traditional workhorse slab construction.
