CC Timeline is the first typeface from CC Type, the type foundry set up by the studio Koto. It borrows from three eras of typesetting, metal, photo and digital, and turns contrast into a choice: the standard, Mid and High subfamilies each come in six weights from Light to ExtraBold with matching italics. A multi-axis variable font covers weight and contrast, and OpenType features include square shapes, an alternate G and R, short ascenders and a single-storey a.
