Suzuki
Carrois Type Design · Ralph du Carrois · 2005

A bespoke gothic typeface designed for Suzuki, spanning one headline and three text variants with coverage across Latin Extended, Greek, Cyrillic and Vietnamese.
About
Commissioned by Suzuki via Sven Völker Studio, the family was developed between 2005 and 2012 to replace generic grotesque solutions with a more characterful gothic suited to the brand's motorsport and adventure positioning. It comprises one headline font and three text fonts, covering over 120 languages. Font mastering and production was handled by Alphabet Type.
Classification
Described explicitly as a gothic rather than a plain grotesque, chosen to convey expression and character suited to Suzuki's brand identity of speed and adventure.
