RetroFuture
Brody Fonts · Neville Brody · 2021

A multiscript grotesque built to hold Latin and Hangul on the same proportions, drawn for brands working across more than one writing system.
About
RetroFuture treats multiscript support as a design problem rather than an extension exercise, matching weight, width and rhythm across Latin and Hangul so a line can switch script without breaking. The forms carry a retro-modern inflection that gives the family a voice beyond neutrality. It is aimed at editorial and identity work that has to run in more than one language.
Classification
A grotesque drawn as a multiscript system, pairing Latin with Hangul and other scripts on shared proportions. Sans-serif: the design is built for continuous setting across languages rather than for titling alone.
