A rowdy single-case display face by Dmitry Goloub, cooked from pre-Petrine Russian lettering on modern equipment.
About
Sustav, Russian for joint, flexes on two axes: weight, and a contrast axis that moves it from grotesque to serif. It has only one case, which gives settings an unusual, slightly old-world texture. Five weights in each of three contrast positions are joined by a variable font.
Classification
A single-case display face drawing on pre-Petrine Russian lettering. It varies on weight and contrast axes, with Grotesk, Semi and Serif positions along the contrast range.
