A geometric display family by the late Joseph Churchward, hand-lettered in the 1980s from a strict vocabulary of circles, squares and triangles, digitised by BluHead Studio with five stylistic variants.
About
Originally hand-lettered by Joseph Churchward in the 1980s, the design constructs each letterform from circles, squares and the occasional triangle, earning the description architectonic. BluHead Studio digitised the family and extended the character set to cover Western European languages, inventing additional glyphs to complete a standard set while preserving the original spirit. Five variants are available: the base design alongside Outline, Fill In, Shadow and Extruded cuts.
Classification
A strictly display typeface constructed from circles, squares and occasional triangles, described as architectonic. Its geometric, modular construction places it firmly in the display category with no text use intended.
