The DIN Stencil Type A that vanished from the standard, revived in a free Basic and a commercial Regular.
About
Stencil Type A entered DIN 1451 in the 1940s and was dropped before 1980. The free Basic cut sticks to the original construction drawing, which suits model makers after accurate German decals. The Regular loosens the proportions, improves spacing and adds Latin Extended and Cyrillic.
Classification
The abandoned DIN Schablonenschrift A, a sharp geometric stencil once part of DIN 1451. Basic follows the standard; Regular modernises proportions and adds Cyrillic.
