A sign-painter's brush script taken from the shopfront lettering of Chaumont painter Chantal Jacquet.
About
Chaumont Script keeps the bounce of a brush on a board: brisk upright capitals, looping lowercase and a slant that never quite settles. Around 2,500 glyphs and a heavy set of OpenType alternates stop repeated letters looking stamped. It is built for posters, shop signs and packaging, and is at its best set big and short.
Classification
A connected brush script digitised from the hand-painted signs of Chantal Jacquet, a sign painter in Chaumont in the 1980s. Upright capitals sit alongside looping, joined lowercase, with contextual alternates to keep the rhythm of a painted hand.
