A variable typeface that interpolates between a stencil-based Black roman and its counter-form White counterpart, with matching italics for each extreme.
About
The design exploits the variable font format to animate the relationship between positive and negative space: the Black style is built on stencil geometry, and the White style is derived directly from its counters. Straight geometric construction is a deliberate technical choice, giving the designer control over the interpolation and preventing artefacts at intermediate positions. The four styles – Black, White and their italic counterparts – can be used statically or set in motion across the full axis.
Classification
An experimental variable typeface built on geometric stencil construction, with interpolation between positive and negative (counter) forms. The variable axis moves between Black and White masters, producing an inverted figure-ground effect that places it firmly in the display/experimental category.
