An uppercase-only display face that reads like a 19th-century sign painter reinventing the alphabet after too much coffee.
About
Asura is an early-access display typeface still in progress, currently covering uppercase, digits and basic punctuation in a single weight. Its sharp stroke ends, unpredictable bends and mischievous letterforms borrow the energy of poster-era sign painting rather than any tidy historical model. Bought early, it comes with free updates as Abhijit Menon continues drawing out the lower case and further weights.
Classification
An uppercase-only display face with sharp stroke ends and irregular skeletons that read closer to hand-lettered signage than a formal script, so it sits in display rather than script proper.
