MegaMegaTypeType
A three-variant serif family with exaggerated fin-like serifs and a deliberate science-fiction character, available in Mono, Text and Display cuts.
About
AF Quaid's most distinctive feature is its dramatically extended serifs, which the foundry likens to starship fins or laser beams. Three subfamilies – Mono, Text and Display – adapt the design across different use contexts while maintaining the same extraterrestrial personality. OpenType alternates for E, F and other characters, alongside full-width figures and scientific inferiors, extend its typographic utility.
Classification
A decorative serif with exaggerated, fin-like serifs and a science-fiction aesthetic, offered in Mono, Text and Display subfamilies. Its highly stylised letterforms place it firmly in the display category despite the functional Text and Mono cuts.
