About
Resident Typeface comes from a series of techno posters Tobias Bolliger (Studio Bollo) made in Bern between 2022 and 2023. The family shares a single modular grid skeleton, then diverges into five cuts – Round, Bubble, Pixel, Horizontal Barcode and Vertical Barcode – through component modifications and visual filters. Each cut ships with 264 glyphs covering upper and lowercase, figures, punctuation, currency, arrows and symbols; the full package runs to 1,320 glyphs.
Classification
Pixel-grid modular display family with five stylistic cuts (Round, Bubble, Pixel, Horizontal Barcode, Vertical Barcode). Each cut is a distinct visual interpretation of the same modular skeleton. No italic, no condensed, no mono. Rooted in techno poster work from Bern 2022–2023. Purely a display typeface with no text-setting ambitions.
