Mufteya pairs a Regular and an oblique Slant cut with extended Latin support, stylistic alternates, ligatures and PUA encoding to give designers compositional variety within a compact family. The design sits between a modern serif and a retro display face, with proportions balanced enough for editorial work at headline size. It suits vintage logo work, poster design and decorative text overlays more than body copy.
Classification
A display serif drawing on retro conventions while keeping proportions clean enough for contemporary use. Two styles only – upright and oblique (labelled Slant). Stylistic alternates, ligatures and PUA encoding give compositional variety without additional weights. No true italic or condensed cut.
