A custom handwriting typeface originally commissioned by advertising agency Fallon in 1998, with an alternate family added to reduce repetition across letterforms.

Designed to function across a wide range of sizes, from body copy to billboard, YWFT Signature replicates the feel of natural handwriting rather than formal calligraphy. The alternate family allows substitution of repeating letters, lending a more convincing hand-drawn quality to longer runs of text. Originally a bespoke commission, it was converted to OpenType in 2010 and made available for general licensing.
Classification
A casual handwriting script mimicking natural pen letterforms, designed to replicate authentic handwritten signatures at a range of scales. An alternate family provides letterform substitutions to reduce mechanical repetition.
