A geometric techno display face rooted in early-2000s music label and DJ flyer lettering, expanded in 2023 with distressed rough variants across seven weights.
About
Originally converted to OpenType in 2010, YWFT Service draws from bespoke lettering made for music labels and dance club ephemera, with angular, Y2K-inflected forms that sit between cyberpunk and industrial aesthetics. The 2023 update doubled the family to 14 fonts by adding a rough, distressed counterpart to each of the seven clean weights. The expanded range positions it for use across editorial headlines, fashion contexts and vintage-styled packaging as well as its original underground applications.
Classification
A Y2K-era geometric display face with industrial and cyberpunk characteristics, expanded in 2023 with distressed variants. Its angular, tech-inflected letterforms place it firmly in the display/techno category.
