A novelty display typeface built entirely from cross symbols, originating as custom branding lettering before being converted to OpenType in 2010.
About
Each glyph in YWFT Crossover is composed of cross shapes, producing a cross-stitch aesthetic that mimics the look of bitmap fonts while maintaining digital precision. Extra tab lines add texture and consistency not found in hand-stitched equivalents. Originally created for branding work, it was formalised as a font in 2004 and later converted to OpenType format.
Classification
A novelty display typeface constructed entirely from cross shapes, functioning similarly to a bitmap font. Its grid-based, pixelated structure places it firmly in the display/decorative category with a bitmap aesthetic.
