Polymode grows from Lining Gothic roots and turns personality into a variable axis called Realness. Acting Basic is the stable base, a crisp, straight-sided sans for refined text and interfaces. Going to Work, Attitude and Opulence push further into flat sides, a high-waisted R and buzzsaw rhythms, ending in pure display. Creative direction came from Brian Johnson and Silas Munro, and it won a 2023 STA 100 award. It is in early access, with free updates to the final version.
