Barack takes its cues from informal, hand-lettered tradition, with deliberately irregular shapes that give it a casual, approachable character. The four subfamilies allow for layered typographic effects, combining outline and solid cuts or adding ornamental fills of stars and stripes. The family supports an extensive range of Latin-script languages across more than 100 languages.
