Terminal Grotesque specimen from Velvetyne

A punk, pixel-inflected grotesque that its designer treats as a permanent beta, never meant to be finished.

About

Terminal Grotesque grew out of Raphaël Bastide's work on Modulicon, a pixel font for a game project, and settled into something closer to a cousin of pixel fonts: organic enough to read as text, punk and technical enough to keep its edge. Futura and Radim Peško's grotesque drawings both left a mark on the result. Bastide treats it deliberately as a beta project, open to perpetual modification rather than a finished release.

Classification

Started as a side project while building a pixel font called Modulicon for a game, taking cues from Futura and Radim Peško's grotesque drawings. The designer treats it as a permanent beta, never meant to be finalised.
