Gete Mingchao takes the Japanese Kuro Mincho into Simplified Chinese with Beijing FounderType. Its strokes open with sharp, spear-like points and finish in sweeps that flow like ribbon, so a traditional Song skeleton picks up a gothic, almost blackletter bite. Five weights from Light to Bold cover the GB2312 set.
