Prox
Typogama · Michael Parson · 2011

A humanist sans-serif in ten weights with matching italics, covering Latin and Cyrillic scripts and available as a variable font.
About
Designed by Michael Parson and released in February 2011, Prox spans twenty static styles from Hairline to Black, each with a matching italic, plus a variable font covering the full weight axis. The character set extends across ISO Latin 1–5 and Cyrillic, supporting over fifty languages. OpenType features include lining and hanging figures, fractions and ligatures.
Classification
Described explicitly as a humanist sans-serif, the design prioritises legibility and economy of form across a broad weight range, consistent with the humanist sans tradition.
