Koruption specimen from Typogama

A neo-grotesque variable typeface with a dedicated distortion axis that slides letterforms from clean to glitched, with OpenType alternates that randomise character variants to simulate authentic degradation.

About

Designed by Michael Parson and released in September 2022, Koruption uses a variable glitch axis to give designers continuous control over the degree of letterform distortion. OpenType alternates further vary individual characters to avoid the repetitive appearance that static distortion effects typically produce. The family suits headlines, logotypes and motion graphics, where the variable axis can be animated in real time.

Classification

A neo-grotesque base with a variable distortion axis that shifts letterforms from clean to glitched, placing it firmly in the display category as its primary intent is expressive, headline-level use rather than text setting.
