Kimbo specimen from Typogama

A narrow, octagonal display family by Michael Parson that draws on classical proportions while maintaining a distinctly modern, architectural rigidity across six weights with matching italics and a companion Text subfamily.

About

The defining feature of Kimbo is its octagonal letterform, which gives the family a stable, imposing presence at display sizes without sacrificing lightness of appearance. A separate Text optical size provides reduced contrast for use at smaller scales, and the full family is available as a variable font with weight and contrast axes. Small capitals and broad Latin language support across ISO Latin-1 through Latin-4 are included throughout.

Classification

A narrow, octagonal display typeface with a geometric construction and strong vertical emphasis. The inclusion of a Text optical size subfamily extends usability into smaller sizes, but the defining character is the imposing octagonal letterform suited to display settings.
