Genesa specimen from Typogama

A condensed, rounded sans serif by Michael Parson offering four weights with italics, broad Latin language coverage and a set of over 60 pictograms.

About

Released in June 2018, Genesa pairs a vertical, constructed structure with rounded terminals to produce a contemporary sans suited equally to large display settings and extended text. Four weights from Light to Black each carry a matching italic, giving the family sufficient range for editorial and branding contexts. An OpenType feature set includes alternate characters and numerals, with over 60 pictograms and arrows included across all weights.

Classification

A condensed sans serif with rounded terminals and a vertically constructed structure. The rounded stroke endings and humanist character proportions distinguish it from a strict geometric or grotesque classification.
