Ysans
Typofonderie · Jean François Porchez · 2017

A geometric fashion sans influenced by A.M. Cassandre, still used by Yves Saint Laurent Beauty under its original name Singulier.
About
Ysans began in 2011 as a bespoke typeface for Yves Saint Laurent Beauty, with several letters, the R, narrow U, and pointed f and t, drawn as a direct homage to the YSL logo. Ysans Mondrian is the same design rebuilt as a multi-layer colour font, named after Saint Laurent's Mondrian dress, and offered free for display headlines.
Classification
A geometric sans influenced by A.M. Cassandre lettering, originally designed for Yves Saint Laurent Beauty under the name Singulier. Ysans Mondrian is a multi-layer OpenType SVG colour version of the same letterforms, not a separate design.
