serifnewspaper text serifitalic

The economical text serif built for Le Monde's small newsprint sizes, and the best-known face in the Le Monde superfamily.
About
Le Monde Journal was built to survive newsprint's worst conditions: bigger counters, sturdy serifs, and enough character to stay recognisable at very small sizes. It won a Bukva:raz prize in 2001 and remains Porchez's best-known editorial serif.
Classification
The workhorse text serif of the Le Monde superfamily, designed for small newsprint sizes. A distinct design from Livre, Sans and Courrier, sharing only the family name.
