Caslonian pushes the details that make a Caslon a Caslon rather than staying faithful to any single historical cut, closer in spirit to ITC's 1970s and 80s Caslon reworkings. XL, L, M and S optical sizes cover poster to text use, and the Open companion lets the illuminated counters of overlapping strokes print in a second colour.
Classification
Not a purist Caslon revival but an exaggerated homage, begun in 2015 for an Estée Lauder brand project and developed with reference to the Fonderie Caslon in Paris and ITC's 1970s and 80s Caslon reworkings. Sold in four optical sizes, XL, L, M and S, each with an Open stylistic companion that colours the counters of overlapping strokes.
