Raporte traces back to Reporter, a 1938 brush script cast by Norddeutsche Schriftgiesserei, but takes its cue from a German neon sign where the texture had worn down to blunt, near-monoline strokes. Rebuilt with contemporary tools, it leans on OpenType alternation so repeated letters vary automatically, with hundreds of possible ligature connections. It suits logos, book and magazine titling, posters and packaging.
