Conglomerate specimen from Typetanic

A hybrid sans family occupying the territory between geometric and calligraphic, square and rounded, with large open counters for text use and sharp details that hold at display sizes.

About

Originating from the Type@Cooper Extended programme, Conglomerate avoids alignment with any single historical model, blending traits from geometric, calligraphic and humanist traditions into a family of six weights with italics and variable font files. Large open counters support legibility at text sizes while crisp detailing rewards larger settings. An extensive OpenType feature set covers small caps, four numeral styles, fractions, ligatures and localised ordinal indicators for multiple European languages.

Classification

Deliberately sits between sans and serif, square and rounded, calligraphic and geometric, making strict categorisation difficult. The absence of conventional serifs places it in sans-serif, but its hybrid nature draws from multiple traditions simultaneously.
