A rounded sans-serif with typewriter-inflected letterforms, originally designed as a custom face for a Hamburg hardware and software reseller, now available in nine weights with matching italics.
About
Comspot draws its character from monospaced and typewriter conventions, most visible in the wide middle strokes of f and t and the repositioned centre joints of w, M and W. Corner rounding increases gradually from Hairline to Ultra Black, producing refined light styles alongside approachable heavy weights. A second subfamily, Comspot Tec, swaps the default character set with the monospace-influenced stylistic alternates for environments where OpenType feature support is unreliable.
Classification
A sans-serif with rounded corners and deliberate monospaced and typewriter-influenced letterforms, particularly in characters like f, t, w, M and W. The subtle rounding increases progressively from Hairline to Ultra Black, giving it a distinctly soft grotesque character.
