Designed by Jakob Runge with contributions from Lisa Fischbach and script consultants Irene Vlachou, Ilya Ruderman and Yury Ostromentsky, Cera Stencil applies asymmetric stencil cuts to a geometric sans skeleton rooted in Paul Renner's Futura tradition. A simplified stem-and-dot 'r' pays direct homage to Futura's alternate characters. Over 980 glyphs per style support around 270 languages across Latin, Cyrillic and Greek, making it suited to editorial, signage, luxury goods and contemporary art contexts.
Classification
A geometric sans-serif with stencil detailing, drawing on Futura's geometric tradition while applying asymmetric stencil cuts. The stencil treatment elevates it to display territory despite its multi-script utility.
