MegaMegaTypeType
A closed geometric sans serif with Finnish heritage, available in five widths and nine weights, with a variable font and stencil-style OpenType alternates suited to gaming and interface applications.
About
Inspired by mid-20th century signage seen in Priozersk, formerly the Finnish town of Käkisalmi, TT Lakes Neue pairs rounded rectangular forms with slightly stretched vertical proportions across 91 styles. Version 2.000 introduced a variable font with weight, width and slant axes, alongside technological stylistic sets that introduce gaps at stroke junctions for a more expressive, mechanical character. The family covers 220+ languages in Latin and Cyrillic, and has been adopted in commercial games including Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and SnowRunner.
Classification
A closed geometric sans serif with rounded rectangular forms and slightly vertically stretched proportions, drawing on mid-20th century Finnish signage typography. The rounded rectangular construction and systematic width variants place it firmly in the geometric sans tradition.
