Originally released in 2018 as a reworking of the earlier TT Firs, TT Firs Neue was substantially revised in 2023 with doubled character coverage, refined contours and new OpenType features. Ink traps follow a consistent internal logic across all styles, and bowl shapes, diagonal characters and terminals are unified throughout the family. The 2023 version covers 235 languages, includes 1,719 glyphs per style and ships with a variable font varying along weight and slant axes.
