An italic-only type family by Louisa Fröhlich, designed without a roman counterpart, spanning five weights plus a Display cut for both text and branding use.
About
Lisbeth dispenses with the convention of roman and italic pairings, existing entirely as an italic family across Thin, Light, Regular, Semibold and Bold weights, with a separate Display style. Its creation was guided by imagination rather than the prescriptive constraints of traditional writing tools, giving the letterforms an internal vividness suited to editorial and identity work. OpenType features include oldstyle figures, tabular figures, contextual alternates and standard ligatures.
Classification
An italic-only family with no roman counterpart, designed freely without the constraints of traditional writing tools. The presence of a Display style alongside text weights suggests a serif with calligraphic warmth suited to both branding and body text.
