About
Drawing on the spirit of the French Renaissance without literal historicism, Essay Text is a contemporary interpretation of humanist serif archetypes intended for continuous reading. The family ships in two styles, Regular and Italic, with an extensive range of OpenType features: small capitals, lining and tabular figures, standard and discretionary ligatures, ordinals, superscripts, case-sensitive forms and eight stylistic sets offering alternate letterforms. The result is a refined workhorse suited to book typography and long-form editorial work.
