A three-style variable display family that interpolates between Gothic Blackletter and old Russian Ustav uncial, with the midpoint style producing unpredictable, glitchy letterforms where the two scripts resist reconciliation.
About
Designed by Yury Ostromentsky of CSTM Fonts, the family spans three styles: a concise contemporary uncial Cyrillic, an angular rhythmic Blackletter, and a Medium that sits precisely between them. The interpolation midpoint is where the type earns its name: letters such as a, k and х carry radically different forms in each script, and the resolved compromises produce peculiar, glitch-like curves. Released as a variable font, it covers a broad range of Latin and Cyrillic languages.
Classification
A hybrid display typeface that interpolates between medieval Blackletter and old Russian Ustav (uncial Cyrillic), producing three distinct styles including a glitchy mid-point variant. The experimental, script-crossing nature places it firmly in the display category.
