About
Stockinette originated as part of the 52 Fonts project, in which one typeface was produced per week over a year. The source material was lettering found in a vintage knitting publication, translated into a simplified, typographic interpretation of handwriting rather than a strict calligraphic imitation. The single Regular style is supplemented by swash caps via Stylistic Set 01, heart-dot alternates, ligatures and a collection of emoji-style dingbats, with coverage extending to over 200 languages.
