Score specimen from ToSupply

A four-weight grotesque family developed between 2014 and 2024, drawing directly from Konrad F. Bauer's Folio as an alternative to the Helvetica-dominated Swiss sans tradition.

About

ToScore uses Folio as its primary reference, preserving the wider lowercase letters and organically distributed stroke contrast that distinguish Bauer's design from the more uniform geometry of Helvetica. The family spans Regular to Black and is designed to function across both body text and display settings. Development stretched a decade, with the family first released in 2019.

Classification

A revival rooted in Konrad F. Bauer's Folio (1957–1962), itself a European grotesque contemporary with Helvetica. Score preserves Folio's wider lowercase proportions and organically distributed stroke contrast, placing it firmly in the grotesque tradition rather than the purer geometric or humanist camps.
