Milescut applies vertical cuts to capital letters and numerals to replicate the graphic device Reid Miles used across nearly 500 album covers for Blue Note Records. The design was also informed by a Wood Type specimen from The WM. H. Page Wood Type Co., connecting the hand-cut aesthetic to a broader letterpress tradition. Two sets of cyclic alternates and a range of ligatures are included via OpenType features.
