A hand-lettered Brazilian vernacular sans serif, originally drawn on squared paper, now distributed in three packs covering solid, layered and SVG colour variants.
About
Designed to capture the informal lettering found on Brazilian cafeteria signs and street commerce, Londrina was initially sketched on squared paper and refined on tracing paper. It is distributed as three complementary packs – Solid, Layer and SVG Color – intended to be used together for layered, polychrome display compositions. Originally released under the name Folk, the typeface was renamed as it entered the Google Fonts catalogue, taking the name of the city where its creator lived.
Classification
A hand-drawn sans serif inspired by Brazilian street lettering and vernacular signage, making it a display typeface with informal, folk character rather than a functional text face.
