About
Grenat began as a calligraphic exercise, simplified until the letters turned into heavy, lumpy forms with a bouncing rhythm, each stroke set against the one beside it. Its oversized proportions and single black weight are made for headlines and posters. Version 0.2 adds a European character set, oldstyle figures and fractions, with kerning and condensed styles still to come.
Classification
Sold as an in-progress release on Future Fonts (v0.2). A single black fat face pared down from a calligraphic exercise, with chunky, irregular strokes that alternate in contrast. One style so far; kerning and condensed styles are planned.
