The MicroFoundry positions itself as a specialist in non-Latin type design, applying the rigour more commonly associated with fine Latin typography to scripts that frequently receive little critical attention. Armenian work is the studio's most developed area, with designs licensed to Linotype and consulting work undertaken for Microsoft. The Georgian display face TMF Akhalkalak emerged from two months of scholarly research conducted in consultation with a UCLA linguist.
