Arabic Handwritten specimen from Tarek Atrissi Design

A bilingual Arabic and Latin typeface released in 2013, designed to replicate the look of fast, casual handwriting in both scripts across three weights.

About

Crafted to mimic a Sharpie-like stroke, the design works at small sizes and on large-format billboards without losing its hand-scribbled character. The Latin component is drawn to match the informal spirit of the Arabic, making the two scripts sit comfortably together in bilingual layouts. It gained notable commercial traction when licensed by the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup organising committee for use across their marketing materials.

Classification

Designed to imitate fast, casual Arabic handwriting with a Sharpie-like stroke quality. Classified as script due to its explicit simulation of informal hand-scribbled lettering across both Arabic and Latin scripts.
