Tabulamore Script
Tabular Type Foundry · 2019

A monospaced script face that conceals its fixed-width constraint through loose letter spacing and continuous connecting strokes, with automatic small caps for all-caps composition.
About
Designed as a deliberate conceptual challenge, the typeface solves the core problem of monospacing – incompatible letter widths – by selecting proportions wide enough to accommodate both W and i without distorting either. Connecting strokes bind the letters into convincing words despite the uniform advance width. An automatic small cap system, inspired by Architects Casual lettering, activates when two consecutive capitals or a numeral are typed, making all-caps setting typographically viable rather than prohibited.
Classification
A script typeface built on a fixed monospaced grid, using loose letter spacing and connecting strokes to disguise the rigid uniform width. Unique in combining script letterforms with tabular spacing, including automatic small caps for all-caps settings.
