About

Dossier combines two distinct Dwiggins sources: the upright derives from a monospaced lowercase drawing made for an unknown client, while the italic originates from his Underwood typewriter project, which he called 'Aldine'. The result has a soft, casual character suited to text typography, packaging and advertising. An OpenType alternate implements a proportional three-unit width system that Dwiggins himself had proposed, wherein narrow, standard and wide letters occupy 2, 3 and 4 units respectively.
