Sugar Pie began when a request for a Candy Script italic counterpart led to experiments at angles between 18 and 24 degrees, which showed enough promise as their own design to be pursued independently rather than shelved.
Classification
Grew from experiments testing whether Candy Script could work as an italic, ending up as its own distinct sloped brush script rather than a true Candy Script italic.
